Miss Biscuit

(Turvy, 5 x 7 pastel, sold)
I'm getting ready for a show so while I am working on those pieces, I thought I would share this small study I did a few years ago of Miss Biscuit. I have done a LOT of paintings of her :), this remains one of my favorites. She is never far from my side or my heart.

I hope you all are enjoying your art!
Cheers,
Sandy

  1. I just love your kitty paintings, and Miss Biscuit is just adorable! I'm amazed by the detail you got in such a small size, too.

Life wouldn't be nearly as fun or interesting if it weren't for the beloved feline companions we share it with.

  2. Sandy, this is a beautiful portrait of Turvy. So many cat pictures come out sweet, pretty, cute, and overly sentimental, but this captures feline essence and I just love it!

  4. Your love of Ms. Biscuit is so obvious in your treatment of her on paper and canvas. I'm not surprised that this piece is sold. Hmmmmm, I suddenly feel the need to go wake up Franz Marc and give him a squeeze...

Good luck as you prepare for your show.

  6. Sandy your work is amazing. I love Miss Biscuits expression, and the texture in her fur is excellent. Especially with the contrast of the hard wood floor. Brilliant!
